My studio is located in Brisbane, Australia. For the past 10 years I’ve been enjoying creating jewellery designs from an array of mundane materials. Tupperware and knitting needles have remained a firm favourite. My designs have been published numerous times, graced the shelves of many wonderful galleries and stores and been worn by those whose aren’t afraid of colour and attention. All of which I am very grateful for. For several years I’ve also been fortunate enough to work with many businesses as a coach and workshop facilitator.

One Down, Two To Go

Our Umbrella Collective show happened last Saturday. It was a fabulous day spent with friends, old and new. I got to meet lots of new people and see many familiar faces too. This was our second Umbrella Show and judging by the success of it there is sure to be another in 2008.

Until then, there are still two market days/studio sales to get through. The first happens this Sunday at GoMA. This is the first of the design markets they are planning to hold, so it a an honour to be chosen to participate.

Here are the details:
Design Market: Sunday 25 November 9am - 5pm @ GoMA,
Gallery Store forecourt
Stanley Place
South Brisbane
PH:07 3840 7147

Just to make things super exciting for myself MoB Workspace is having a studio sale several days later!

Here are the details:
Studio Sale: Thursday 29 November - Friday 30 November 11am -4pm @ MoB Workspace
(via MoB store), Museum of Brisbane
PH:07 3403 5518

Who need sleep?!

Hi, I had a great time checking out your stuff at the Umbrella Collective show on the weekend. Your stand looked great, I felt like a kid in a candy shop (such a pity I don't have the means to say "two of those, three of those, five of those...."). I love my Jack and Jill hair pins, and already have my husband wised up to get me some yummy plastic Chrissy treats! Best of luck with the upcoming events.

Hi Liana,

We haven't met before, but I visited your stall today outside GoMA; jeez you make such beautiful things! Sadly, there were only moths in my purse today, so I didn't walk away with any goodies.

You've got a great eye for the found objects. I was looking at the wee plastic figures on a couple of earrings (I think it was) and knew I recognised them, but just couldn't think where from.... but of course, they're from those kiddies' coathangers I had as a kid. Clever you.

All the best for the Christmas rush. Hope you make enough to fund those travel dreams you have.

Regards,

Zézette

Thanks for all the well wishes!

Great to meet to many lovely (& supportive) people during these show days. I really do enjoy that part of doing these things most of all.
