Brisbane, Australia
My studio is located in Brisbane, Australia. For the past 10 years I’ve been enjoying creating jewellery designs from an array of mundane materials. Tupperware and knitting needles have remained a firm favourite. My designs have been published numerous times, graced the shelves of many wonderful galleries and stores and been worn by those whose aren’t afraid of colour and attention. All of which I am very grateful for. For several years I’ve also been fortunate enough to work with many businesses as a coach and workshop facilitator.

Aqua Vitae

Here are a couple of shots of the Umbrella Collective exhibition on display until August 30 at KickArts, Cairns.

Artist statement:
Drip Drop earrings and neckpieces came out of a time of deep change and renewal for me. Like water, I am transforming. Change is an inevitable part of life, but at this time it is highly concentrated. The neckpieces and earrings are made from old necklaces rescued from thrift stores. They are joined with vintage buttons, stainless steel, and sterling silver. The old and the new are combined, and through this something better, I hope, is made.

Missed out by a few weeks on seeing the show while on holidays in Cairns.
Visited Kick Arts. It has a great shop, well worth dropping in. The shows were wonderful.
Loved the large jelly babies outside!
