Brisbane, Australia
My studio is located in Brisbane, Australia. For the past 10 years I’ve been enjoying creating jewellery designs from an array of mundane materials. Tupperware and knitting needles have remained a firm favourite. My designs have been published numerous times, graced the shelves of many wonderful galleries and stores and been worn by those whose aren’t afraid of colour and attention. All of which I am very grateful for. For several years I’ve also been fortunate enough to work with many businesses as a coach and workshop facilitator.

A Little Smile

My mother emailed this photo yesterday. It is a photo of my Uncle Rudi holding the bag that my parents and daughter left behind at Hamburg train station as they raced to catch another train.

It just makes me laugh. It makes me remember my own trip to Germany when I was a teenager. So maybe it is the thoughts of travel and the hope that I'll be able to pull that off this year, that I like so much. Or maybe it is my Uncle's puppy dog expression. Or maybe it is that cute, colourful plastic bag. But whatever it is, anything that can bring a smile to my face is well worth keeping.

LOL, yes, a wonderful photo - and I hope the bag finds your parents again!

Happy New Year, hopefully with exciting travel in it for you :)

This photo is wonderful. It has made me even more homesick (that's not the right word, but bear with me) to go back to Germany.

My husband & I were there for only 1 week on a world trip a few years ago and there has been an ache in my heart to go back ever since I left.
