About Liana

Brisbane, Australia
My studio is located in Brisbane, Australia. For the past 10 years I’ve been enjoying creating jewellery designs from an array of mundane materials. Tupperware and knitting needles have remained a firm favourite. My designs have been published numerous times, graced the shelves of many wonderful galleries and stores and been worn by those whose aren’t afraid of colour and attention. All of which I am very grateful for. For several years I’ve also been fortunate enough to work with many businesses as a coach and workshop facilitator.

Knitwit Chunky

I did have fun making these supersized versions of my regular knitwit bangles. There are only a limited number of these. A few will be going to the MoB Store today and a few more will be kept for my ONLINE store which will be up and running (baring any natural disasters or computer crashes) by Monday.

they are hot stuff Liana! Do you have trouble with breakage with bending those knitting needles?

Thanks HML.

The needles come in such a range of different plastics, so it is through much experimentation that I have worked out those that will bend and those that will not.

soooo chunky you can carrrve it.these take me straight back to the 80s peak of the chunky knit revolution when baby boomers turned into knitwits and changed the world as we know it.
