Brisbane, Australia
My studio is located in Brisbane, Australia. For the past 10 years I’ve been enjoying creating jewellery designs from an array of mundane materials. Tupperware and knitting needles have remained a firm favourite. My designs have been published numerous times, graced the shelves of many wonderful galleries and stores and been worn by those whose aren’t afraid of colour and attention. All of which I am very grateful for. For several years I’ve also been fortunate enough to work with many businesses as a coach and workshop facilitator.

Coincidence No. 1

As I was writing my newsletter today I was struck by some rather interesting coincidences.

Coincidence No.1
Kara Smith and myself are both featured in the current issue of Frankie magazine, and no less we even on the same page. I found this odd because I met Kara a couple of months ago through a mutual acquaintance that thought we had a similar aesthetic. We were introduced via email and then Kara suggested we meet up, which we did. On our first meeting Kara mentioned she was getting some coverage in Frankie. About a week later I got a call too. I'm not aware of any connection and it seems like they found us in very different ways. I just find this so curious - delightful, but curious none the less.

goodness, i saw your gorgeous stuff in frankie and noticed a few broaches (the flowers made of measuring tape) in this little artsy place in perth, thinking that someone had ripped off a stella idea of yours. i thought the same again when i stumbled across your etsy shop. i'm glad to know that they're all your originals :)
