My life is good - I have good friends, I am happily married (well sometimes..), people seem to like my stuff and I get to do what I want to do. So I'm not complaining, really I'm not going to complain, but I just need to acknowledge the fact that I have children and sometimes that can make things a little tricky.
I don't like to mention the children too often (as an excuse) because everyone has a number of commitments tugging at them and I don't feel like I have it particularly hard. For the past two weeks though daughter no.2 has been on school holidays. For the most part she does amuse herself, but without her sister here (away in Europe - Hamburg right now!) she wants me to play with her a lot more than usual. The thing is I want to spend time with her, playing Uno and riding scooters in the park (I'm getting my own one this week!) but trying to balance my work load (which I am very grateful for) and family is sometimes not easy, and this past week in particular - exhausting.
I won't mention the kids here too often, but today I'm just going to say - "I have children, I'm tired and I may have have to get that to you in another day or two".
please note: the child put herself in the box and was free to leave at any time!

I hear you!
I hear you, too, Liana. My own 18-month-old is sitting at my feet as I write, miraculously absorbed in emptying the contents of the waste paper basket on to the floor, thus granting me a rare daytime moment of computer time. I also try not to mention my daughter too much on my blog, though sometimes you've got to let it all out, see for example http://angelasavage.wordpress.com/2007/06/19/love-vs-art/
No, mention the children, are they the reason you are in business?? Mine sure are. I was a boring pharmacologist before i became a mummy, & poof, 4 children by 29, i am sooo glad i threw in a career in a lab coat for one as crafty mother working from home. I've been in craft for 5 years & now those 4 children are at school/ preschool, business is booming. Love Posie
Yes, I guess they are. It is true that i didn't want to go back to a 'job' after the kids were born. And let's face it, I really just don't like being told what to do too!
